Worldwide, the diary of Anne Frank is known and studied because of her bravery during a time when everything already seemed lost. A simple diary of a hopeful girl has inspired millions of people. The story of how a family and their companions hid in a house for two years during World War II when the Jews were taken to concentration camps. She wrote their endurance, hardships, her ambitions and even her first love. Their father, being the only survivor after the war, took it upon himself to make the diary known. All thanks to her legacy, the Anne Frank House was established. A historic house that exhibits their lives, it was opened in their actual house, the very house they hid in for more than two years. Located in Prinsengracht in Central Amsterdam. Walking in the Anne Frank House, you can’t help but imagine what it was like to have lived in those times under those conditions.
