You may think that a UK holiday wouldn’t be much fun, but the UK has a great number of attractions to enjoy, whatever the weather. There is plenty to see and do, whatever kind of holiday you are looking for. Whether you are looking for action and adventure, somewhere to sit and gaze or a cycling tour, you can find it all right here in the UK. Cycling – Cycling holidays are a great way to get away from it all. The best bit is you can enjoy plenty of landscapes and scenery, and you might even lose weight doing it. This kind of holiday is particularly popular with those on a health drive, and those who are keen cyclists. You don’t need to be an experienced rider though. You can hire everything you need, and go out on guided tours. If you wanted to see more of historic York, and you had nothing else planned for Christmas, you can even take a led tour the city on your bicycle and enjoy a festive Christmas dinner.
Theme parks – If high adrenaline and world famous roller coasters are more your thing, you’ll be pleased to know that the UK has everything you could possibly want. From Thomas Land for the tiny tots, to the thrills and spills of a full weekend in a theme park in Blackpool, the UK gives, and it keeps on giving. There are many theme parks in the UK to choose from, and lots of them are tied in with other family led activities. Those in the big seaside resorts like Blackpool provide plenty of extras to entertain the adults all weekend. There is a wide variety of things to do and entertainments to enjoy. Blackpool is especially popular for hen or stag nights due to the pulling power of this Northern resort.
Beautiful walks – There are no landscapes on Earth quite like those you can find in the Lake District. This area is world famous for its hundreds of walking paths, cycle routes and water-based activities. This part of the UK is largely unspoilt and brings rural England to you on a beautiful plate. Even in the pouring rain, this area is incredible and breathtaking with some of the most stunning views you will ever see. There are plenty of campsites for you and a tent or caravan. Alternatively, try a village B&B, and sample some of the best local produce you can find.
Spa Resort – The UK is fast hotting up for some wonderful spa resorts. These pampering palaces can take care of you in the grounds of an amazing country estate. Find pools, massage therapies and steam rooms. Then relax at dinner with some fine gourmet cuisine. The life of luxury can be yours if you choose to take a spa retreat in the UK this year. Pull on the robe and slippers, enjoy a glass of fine champagne, and relax.
