Hooked on the perfect blend of coffee? Can’t possibly get enough of its irresistible aroma? Then why not try some of the best in Paris? Yes, Paris has all the attractions and sights that a lot of people all over the world are dying to see with their own eyes. But their coffee houses serve some of the finest coffee and it’ be a crime to overlook them.
A must try is a humble little shop called La Caféothèque (the coffee library) located beside La Cité Internationale des Arts. Amazingly, they store and roast 23 different kinds of coffee beans from different countries and they’re aiming to increase that number to an impressive 31. Humble as it may look, this well-known coffee shop was said to have started the coffee revolution in Paris.
Another great café is Ten Belles which is found near Canal Saint-Martin. From the outside you’ll always see a line patiently waiting to get a cup or two. Once you finally step foot inside, the aroma of coffee and a big sign that says “drinking good coffee is sexy,” will greet you. They not only offer top of the quality coffee, but cakes and (surprise!) cauliflower soup, salt beef and sausage rolls. Before you order a delicious cup for yourself, decide whether to have takeout or wait for one of the half dozen tables to be evacuated.
If you’re the type of person who just can’t get off the internet or need to eat and read, then Strada Café is just for you. Place your books and laptops on the side as you order anything from their wide choices of coffee and tea. Bite into a savory tart or two while accessing their fee Wi-Fi. And if the day was too rough on you, they can serve you beer.
