Jinhae is one of the most popular and largest cherry blossoms festivals in South Korea because of the thousands of cherry blossoms tree. Many tourists from different countries flock to Korea to attend this festival. It will take place from April 1 to April 10, 2014.
How to get to Jinhae from Seoul by Bus
Take a bus from Seoul Gangnam bus terminal; travel time is approximately 4 hours. You may also take a bus from Seoul going to Changwon, which is the capital Gyeongsan, and then take the local bus number 151 to get to Jinhae.
Events
From April 1 to 10, there will be an exhibition on ocean safety and environment, lifeguard demonstration and the opening of Changwon Sola Tower (free admission). The opening took place last March 31, 2014, wherein several kpop stars and naval military band attended. Fireworks display will be on April 2, 2014 – 20:00 pm at Jinhaeru Seaside. Street Parade which is the reenactment parade of General Yi Sun-shin and his troops will be help at Bukwon Rotary to Jungwon Rotary on April 4, 15:00 to 17:00. About 1 kilometer of the Yeojwacheon Stream will be decorated with laser beams, mirrors and ornamental lights for a fantastic night viewing experience from April 1 to April 10, 18:00 to 23:00.
Jinhae is also popular because of many Korean dramas and movies use this as its filming location, such Romance of Kim Ha Neul and Kim Jae Won.
